As specialist framers, we aim to give all our customers a wide choice when it comes to building a bespoke framing solution. We've worked with all kinds of wooden moulding in different effects and settings and will work with you to achieve the frame you want by talking you through your options and making sure the frame, mount and glass are perfect for the artwork you're displaying. We carry in stock in excess of 150 frame and 100 mount styles ranging from traditional to contemporary and have full access to hundreds more. We will be delighted to give you a quote when you visit the gallery and will turn the work around in a timeframe to suit you.
Needlework, tapestry, embroidery and cross-stitch framing is very popular at Longridge Gallery.
We have many very talented customers who rely on our stretching and framing service. We stretch these fine pieces of craft using only acid free cotton to sew each work to an acid free lined board. We never use glue, staples or tape, thereby ensuring the longevity of the work. The work will never become distorted or degraded as a result of these inferior materials changing over time. Only when we are happy that the work is secure can the framing process begin. Our attention to detail matches that of the creators of the needlework.

Longridge Gallery provides a professional dry mounting service for prints and photographs. Dry mounted prints, posters and photographs are popular for aesthetic reasons, although we do not recommend it as an archival process as it is not reversible. Dry mounting artwork means permanently sealing the piece to an aluminium or paper mount using a specialist tissue or film. Dry mounting is particularly successful in removing the effects of "cockling" when a piece of artwork has been exposed to either the effects of being tubed or changes in humidity. Our gallery is equipped with a hot-bed press to carry out this process to the highest possible standards.
