Peter Brook was born in the winter of 1927 surrounded by the Pennines, which would become such an influence in his life. After a career in teaching Peter became a full time artist aged 40, contracted to Agnews of London and saw his work exhibited around the world. Many celebrities collected his work including James Mason & Sir Tom Courtenay. He began featuring himself and his dog in his paintings in the 1980's and this became a trademark for his later work. In 2009 & 2011 Peter's work featured in the Tate Gallery desk diary and nowadays Peter's original work is fetching high prices at auction houses and dealers around the UK. Sadly Peter passed away in 2009 but we are proud to remain a retailer of his work, working with his exclusive publisher and estate.
